Hedgehog houses, Andy Goldsworthy sculptures and debates. A busy week!
Bursar2018-07-01T12:24:38+01:00In class 1 the children have been building hedgehog houses and working on Andy Goldsworthy structures, and in Class 2 the children held a debate in assembly on whether or not animals should be kept in zoos!
The Lancashire Music Service visit to teach us singing skills. Come and hear us on Friday!
Bursar2018-06-21T12:02:46+01:00Yesterday we were joined by Emma Williams from Lancashire Music Service who came to teach us some new songs for our assemblies. We did lots of crazy warm up activities with our mouths and made lots of weird sounds. We hope to be able to sing them to you in our assembly on Friday morning. Katrina Harkin Class 1 teacher
Children from Reception to Year 5 learn to bake.
Bursar2018-05-18T15:25:51+01:00Children from Reception to Year 5 had the opportunity to bake together today. Reception children made chocolate nests from cornflakes and maltesers. They melted the chocolate and then mixed in the cornflakes. Once the mixture had begun to set they placed maltesers on top to represent the eggs in the nest. They learnt about melting and cooling as well as enjoying a delicious treat! Year 1 to 5 children independently made chocolate chip cookies. Oaks Trip to Lancaster University Be the Change Project

The children from Y3 to Y6 will be exploring teamwork and leadership on this full day out. Uniform is to be worn please and packed lunches are needed. The children should be back for the end of the school day, traffic dependent. Thank you!
