We passionately believe that the Performing Arts build confidence, resilience and teamwork.

Every child has the opportunity to perform on stage in a production each year. We make our productions as professional as possible with a stage, scenery, costumes, stage lighting and even head mics!

We have had the honour of welcoming the Mayor of Lancaster to our last three productions. Also, Cat Smith, our local MP, came to watch our production of Peter Pan. She posted: Really impressive school play tonight of Peter Pan – every single child should be really proud of themselves! Well done all the adults who made it possible, it was brilliant.

Pupils also take part in our annual ‘Caton’s Got Talent’ competition, which is great fun!

Our children also take part in class assemblies at various points throughout the year when they share their learning.

We are very proud of our excellence in music.  Every other year, our choir performs at the Young Voices concert in Manchester or at the Lancaster Music Festival.  We have a fabulous school band that performs in our annual music concert, along with solo musicians and our Year 3/4 children who play the ukulele or the keyboard.
